Within the developmental aspects, the ORDT also collaborates with the partner’s organization to support both the ORDT and partner organizations vision and goals to reach the unreached and under reached diverse social community. Within such developmental programs, the ORDT highly focus upon development of related aspects that is favourable to the end beneficiary. In these developmental aspects, the ORDT also seeks help from individuals, groups and the organizations to perform the developmental activities and to implement related program, policies and plans at the ground level to the higher level tasks by developmental collaboration.

Academic Collaboration and Development with St. Xavier’s College (SXC), Maitighar, Kathmandu
On 21st June 2019, the Master in Business Studies (Third Semester, Batch 2018) students of St. Xavier’s College, Maitighar (SXC) participated in the two day and one night Social Camp in two schools at Dadhikot, Bhaktapur District.
Shree Bal Chetan Primary School and Arniko Secondary School were the schools visited by the students during the Social camp organized by the St. Xavier’s College.
ORDT: Organization for Research Development and Training Pvt. Ltd. role as an academic and social developmental partner initiated academic enhancement by out-reaching and encouraging the students of Grade 6 to 8 in the Essay Writing Competition. The program was spontaneously activated where students were involved to write an essay on five themes decided by the groups of SXC students. The essay themes were not known to participating students prior to our visit to the school.
Almost over 150 students of Grade 6, 7 and 8 were involved. The support from the schools’ authorities was remarkable and the teacher’s help towards this program was highly appreciated.
Under invigilation, SXC students showed tremendous participation and enthusiasm in their performances during activities conducted at both schools. The Social Camp was supported by both schools and the accommodation for the SXC students was organized by the Arniko Secondary School in their school premises.
The outcome of the essay performed by participants of the Essay Writing Competition was evaluated by the representatives of St. Xavier’s College. From the participants, Surendra Budhathoki of Grade 6 from the Arniko Secondary School was awarded the 1st prize and a certificate from St. Xavier’s College was awarded to him. Along with the prize and certificate distribution, ORDT also opened a platform to disseminate the winning essay on its Children’s Journal portal.
Taking this further, the editorial process and evaluation of other essays were undertaken by the ORDT’s Children’s Journal Editor, Samprav M.S. Rajbhandari. It also opened the academic platform to other outstanding essays from Arniko Secondary School to encourage students in their academic endeavour.
The 1st Prize for the awarded essay and the other outstanding essay selected through the Children’s Journal editorial process is also published in the ORDT’s Children’s Journal. This will help to promulgate the academic importance and necessity in developing and enhancing education.
